What happens when you forward it

The email is what makes this work. A bill on its own is just a file; the message it arrived in carries everything needed to open and understand it.

Locked PDFs open themselves: Councils and body corporates password-protect statements and put the password in the covering email. We read it from there, so you are never asked for it.
Links get followed: Some accounts email a link to a portal rather than the bill itself. We follow it, fetch the statement and carry on — a dropped file has nothing to follow.
We learn who sends it: The sender and the account reference come off the email, which is how Proplo files next month's bill against the right property without being told.

You will watch each of those steps happen live, then see the supplier, account number, amount and due date we read off it.

We don't keep your bill. Only the four fields we show you are stored — not the document, and not the text of your email.
